Community Discovery’ Discovery Tours and Community Art Exhibition 2015
The kickoff of our Community Discoveries Art Exhibition at Kubrick, Yau Ma Tei is on July 1st!
“Community Discovery” is a public education campaign initiated by HKCSS – HSBC Social Enterprise Business Centre that aims to promote and discover local community, assets and culture.
Through our tours, we hope to bring to light the changes in the community and its unique local culture. This project also fosters the training of “Community Storytellers” - early retired, local residents of Yau Tsim Mong District. Through their insightful and personal narratives, storytellers will lead organized tours and introduce their community’s cultural and social characteristics through their unique perspective.
From April to June, we asked our storytellers, tour participants and local artists to use different methods to express Yau Tsim Mong from their viewpoint. Combining their efforts, we hope to create a community-based installation art exhibition that presents the charming hustle and bustle of Yau Tsim Mong district. The exhibition is open and free to public.

On July 17th, 2015, Good Goods was invited by Hong Kong Broadband Network (HKBN) to participate in their employee corporate bazaar. It was a very fruitful experience and provided a platform for interacting with HKBN’s corporate employees. Besides promoting social enterprise, fair trade, organic, and other products, Good Goods also assisted other social enterprises inviting Health Aims to the event. Overall, the event was a great success and Good Goods will look to collaborate with HKBN again in the near future.
