Asia Network for Young Social Entrepreneurs (ANYS) Study Visit
HKCSS is going to form a delegation to participate in Asia Network for Young Social Entrepreneurs (ANYS), which is an annual international conference which advocates young social entrepreneurship. Themed in housing issue this year, participants are expected to explore on innovative solutions derived from social economy which resolving housing issue, and interact to explore possibilities of regional collaboration in Asia Pacific.
One-day visit in Seoul to gain insight on the latest development of shared economy and social enterprise unit.

The IIM Intervarsity Undergraduate Practicum Scheme
The IIM Intervarsity Undergraduate Practicum Scheme (‘IUPS’ or ‘the Scheme’) is a team- and project-based experiential learning program, providing inter-university interaction and collaborative opportunities to the undergraduates. SEBC supports the programme.
Through the Scheme undergraduates from local universities are organized into teams of five each to undertake projects at NGOs or social enterprises for a period of six weeks during summer 2015, to help local organizations explore opportunities and solve problems taking advantage of undergraduates’ talents and innovative ideas.
The project team will provide consultation service to the social enterprise, with in-depth problem analysis and practical recommendations in voluntary basis. Formal trainings and guidance will be provided to the student team before on boarding. The process will be supervised by IIM’s Scheme Coordinator and Mentors.

The Empowering Young Entrepreneurs Program (EYE Program) 2015 launched by Google and CUHK Center for Entrepreneurship is open for application!
Since the EYE Program 2014 was announced in November 2013, we have witnessed how the program inspired and changed the lives of the entrepreneurs and their mentors, and hundreds more participants and people associated with the program. Check out this 3-minute video of EYE Program Rewind!
EYE Program continues in 2015 with the theme “Living in the Mobile-First World”, aiming to build an even more connected network for startups and entrepreneurs both locally and globally, encouraging homegrown startups to embrace mobile technology and make a difference in user lives, and matching them with passionate mentors, providing inspiring workshops, sharings and oversea roadshow.
What to Expect - from July to November 2015
5-month Mentorship for 10 startup teams, experienced mentors working in teams supported by experts in technology, law, finance, etc.;
Challenge series , speaker series & networking events with seasoned founders, pioneers, and business leaders to inspire EYE teams on real opportunities;
Workshops by Google experts on innovation, technology and mobile- first;
Overseas roadshow to Taiwan, meeting forerunners in mobile technology, creating synergy and connecting regional startup communities together;
Project demo day with showcase and pitching session with investors.
Who Should Apply
Hong Kong startups founders and/ or entrepreneurs-to-be, who:
Want to make an impact in everyday’s life with creative solutions and innovations using mobile technology;
Have the established business/ high-potential business idea to bring innovation to user’s daily life while using mobile technology;
Have a vision to expand outside of HK and reach markets beyond; and
Have completed groundwork and preferably have launched the business for at least one year.
Eligibility of Applicants
Applicants can apply as a team consisting of ONE to FOUR members;
The team leader (business founder) must be Hong Kong resident with a Hong Kong Identity Card who primarily lives, works and/or studies full-time in Hong Kong;
All team member(s) must between the ages of 16-40 (by the application deadline);
Each team must apply with an established business/ high-potential business idea to bring innovation to user’s daily life while using mobile technology, and to match with at least one of the theme topics.
*Each participant can only be associated with ONE team, and each team can only submit ONE idea
