ACT Community Discovery had organized 6 community tours successfully across the weekends between October and November. The tours catered over 80 participants from Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea, aged between 7 and 80. Leading by our veteran storytellers who have been living in the local communities for over 40 years, our participants were walking in the urban labyrinth of Tsim Sha Tsui and Mongkok while learning about the narratives, social histories and cultures of the local communities from our storytellers. Meanwhile, the community tours allowed our participants to rediscover the wisdoms and the humanities in the everyday life of urban Hong Kong, and at the same time enable our retired storytellers to reacquire an evergreen life. Most of our community tour participants agreed that Community Discovery succeeded in raising their interest on the districts and enriching their understanding on the local communities from the diversified perspectives.
