Community culture revitalisation

Re + Store → Restore. Our shop is becoming a centre of culture, skills, history in Yau Tsim Mong District, and therefore the effectiveness community education can be enhanced.

Through our regular outreaching since, Life Workshop have established relationship with small shops in Yau Tsim Mong District, and sorted out some local handcrafts.  Our project has provided these potential masters a platform to organize workshops to the public. The traditional craftsmen also appreciated their passion and creativity. Over 20 types of redesign products are created through the cooperation between elders and youngster. Restore, a shop with local culture and creativity is therefore established since 2013.

Product and Service

  1. REdesign Products: colaborate with local traditional craftsmen and designer to develop some local cultural product.
  2. Local handcrafts Courses: The traditional craftsmen provides workshops for the public.
  3. Cultural Event Organizer: organize markets, tour, exhibition, CSR programmes etc.
 REstore locates at 618 Shanghai Street, a preservation-revitalisation project in Mongkok.
Colaboration with local traditional craftsmen and designers.
Over 20 types of products are sold through the cooperation between elders and youngster.
Handcraft workshop - Embroidery shoe is taught by the young heir from local shop.
Handcraft workshop - Mahjong engraving is taught by master from local shop.
