Since being established in 2019, THE LOOPS has been known as a leading one-stop recycling center in Hong Kong.​Waste problems are issues of resource misallocation, currently, people do not have an effective way to give out their wanted items and take back what they need. In the end, much of the waste has been created while some people in society need it. The Loops is a closed-loop door-to-door collection network to reallocate all materials and resources, leaving no waste in Hong Kong. We offer the smoothest and easiest recycling path for both households and offices. The Loops will collect more than 40 types of recyclable materials at the doorstep, categorize the recyclables, and deliver them to recycling factories for recycling/ shops for reuse. We hired unemployed homemakers from the disadvantaged group, with a very family-friendly work schedule. They can work in their neighborhood or even in the same building they are living! This empowers them to financially contribute to their families, and also contribute to society. Any material won’t matter in a linear economy, only changing the afterlife is the key to completing the Loops, which is the key to a circular economy.
